I embarked on the transformation of becoming an astrologer. It started one weekend in November when I had an uncontrollable desire to know how astrology worked. So I sequestered myself in my apartment until I understood the basic structure of a chart and the names of the things in it. From then on I devoured all astrology books I could get my hands on. I emerged from that period completely in awe of astrology as an infinite body of wisdom and I still feel the same way today.

My approach to astrology readings is to create a safe space to help people understand themselves. I like to give people strength and courage to do what they might be scared to do and to brainstorm new paths together.

I started to study astrology when i was 15 years old. My grandmother was an astrologer, and I inherited her books. I remember the day i did my first mathematical calculations (no computer programs at that time), and put up my planets on the wheel, draw the aspects lines...and gazed into this mysterious mirror that contained the stepping

stone of a self-discovery journey. Since then, i've always had an astrology book in my hands, i have encountered two influencial and forming astrology teachers, and had read charts to all my friends and family members. Now i work with clients.

My approach to astrology is evolutive and transformational and i work with my clients in finding the source of creative power in their charts. I studied art and photography, became a full time artist and social worker, and i am now embarking in the studies of art therapy. I am passionate about the meeting place of the individual, the chart and the creative destiny of our souls.

Chelsea Bottinelli

Since we have been known to inject a good bit of astrological information into the ethers, I’ll start by telling you that I’m a Leo with my moon and ascendant in Scorpio.
 
I have logged over 1000 phone hours with our readers, and as is often the case with Leos, I am happy to share my opinion whenever I am asked (and sometimes when I haven’t been asked!). I’m not an astrologer, but I have learned some basics from a sweet Fishy-man you all know, Mr. Eric Francis. Please note the emphasis on “basics,” if you ask me about your seventh-house Moon conjunct Uranus, I will blink and smile, but I won’t have any helpful astrological advice.
 
I live in Florida, with TJ, a Pisces musician/real estate agent who smells nice. We have a very serious Aquarian dog named Haven who doesn’t smell nearly as nice, but she makes up for it with personality and unimaginable cuteness.

Eric Francis

I guess I have to write this myself. Ummmm I started Planet Waves one night in 1998 at my friend Neal's house on an old Mac 7200 that my buddy Allan gave me (he used to be my assistant when I was editor of the campus magazine in Buffalo), also with help from a Japanese friend named Keiko who figured out how to use Adobe Page Mill. In other words, from the beginning of this project, I always got by with a little help from my friends, and now it's become something more amazing than I had ever imagined.

I've done tarot and astrology readings a long time, going back to 1988 when I was editor of Kane's Beverage Week and set up shop reading cards for free in the [free] Anheuiser-Busch restaurant at the National Beer Wholesalers Association Conference in Anaheim, CA. Yep that's where I trace my roots as a diviner for others. But I stuck with tarot cards for about seven years until, as the story goes, I had my mind blown by the Patric Walker Horoscope in the NY Post so many times that I had to figure out how it was done. So I bought an ephemeris and then one year later, started my own column called The Navigator in a paper called Free Time in Poughkeepsie, NY.
 
So from the beginning of my astrology career I've been a media astrologer, combining horoscope columns and radio appearances, my own radio program, and then finally Internet.
 
At this point I feel I have too many other responsibilities to be a good consulting astrologer. But I am very happy to take up questions on Astrology Secrets Revealed, and refer my friends Deirdre Tanton and Paloma Todd for astrology sessions. I am very happy to teach astrology and I feel that that's the main purpose of Astrology Secrets Revealed.
 
These days I live in Brussels, the capital of Europe, which is in a weird little country called Belgium. In the past 10 years I've lived in about as many cities, and where he stops, nobody knows. I consider my spiritual home to be New Paltz, New York, and I have a very strong living root on the West Coast on Vashon Island, WA, which is the official corporate location of Planet Waves. Christina Becker

Christina Becker.

I became fascinated with astrology and began my studies during my first Pluto transit. My life took a fateful turn then and I dived into the deep end.  It was about the same time that I started my training to be a Jungian Analyst at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland. The two pursuits have gone hand in hand. Now I have a private analytic and astrological practice and I teach. My favourite teaching gig is Counselling Skills for Astrologers. I am also really interested in alchemy and astrology.  

My approach to astrology is psychological and how astrology offers the key to transformation and reveal the direction of the individual's soul growth and individuation i.e. the path toward wholeness.

Anatoly Ryzhenko

Anatoly is our webmaster in the Ukraine. I don't know if he knows this but some of us refer to him as Buddha. He works long hours, usually late into the night, keeping Planet Waves systems running, and helping a lot of our friends with their Web sites as well. His first language is Ukranian and his second seems to be Latin -- he was involved in translating 50,000 Latin expressions into Ukranian. With his creative use of English, he is helping me develop the language of the future. -- ef
