We know that these are tough economic times; we participate in the economy too. Every issue of Planet Waves that that appears in your inbox costs us more than $1,000 to produce. But that cost is only a fraction of the value of the work you receive, which is, to some, intangible and -- because you can't actually hold it in your hand -- is often undervalued. If you read one thing I write that points you toward a new job, an opportunity or a relationship, you would probably agree that it's worth it.
It's basic math and psychic hygiene that an energy exchange should be involved in any situation where you personally benefit. This

If you got on this list because you are a friend or relative of mine, I would invite you to
subscribe at the regular rate if you can afford it. It's one of the most basic rules of running a small business that you don't give your products to your friends for free, though as a Pisces / Aquarius, I want everyone to have everything. Usually I pay cash and buy a few. When one of my friends produces a CD or writes a book, I purchase their work at full price to support the venture: to make a clear, tangible statement of support. I have probably bought 10 copies of
Cosmos & Psyche by Richard Tarnas over the past two years, most of them as gifts for my friends and students, and never asked the publisher for a press copy. If money is tight, then we have the
