Weds., Jan. 7, 2009 Dear Next World Stories Subscriber: I'm reporting in from my kitchen with an update on the progress of your annual horoscope. As of 10 minutes ago, eight of them were filed with our editors and designers; four are sitting on this computer in pretty advanced form. Each is going through three full drafts. I'm moving from the second to the third draft at the pace of about one a day. I'm not pushing it: I'm doing the astrology slowly and meticulously. At this pace, we should be able to go live on Sunday night. This is a different kind of annual than we've done before. Usually we post the annual all at once, and leave it as is. This one is designed to be built on and updated regularly, with several content areas. Best of all, it's a community participation area. Once you're in, you will be able to sign up for a free ID and password and post comments and dialog with one another about the astrology readings and the work of other writers. The most successful Internet sites all involve participation and community, and I've long held this vision for Planet Waves. I would love it if we could co-create this into an astrology study area. Unlike in other years, I have so far focused exclusively on the horoscopes this year. I have more to say about the big transits and the state of the world, in due time.
